Liberty Global and Comcast will use open-sourced browser enhancements from Metrological, the company has announced. These enhancements mean that the companies will be able to to improve their ability to support IP browser-based services and applications for set-top boxes. MStar Semiconductor has chosen to use a cryptography engine from Inside Secure in its new UltraHD platform for TV chips. The engine will prevent content from being illegally copied and cloned.
