Universal Display reported Q2 2016 net profit of $21.8 million, compared to a net loss of $11.8 million in the same period previous year. Turnover was $64.4 million, up 11% YoY from $58.1 million. Results include a licence payment of $33.7 million from Samsung Display.
Swiss public broadcaster SRF is now using an LED videowall on its ’10vor10′ show. The wall was built using 18 modules from Eyevis, with a 2mm pixel pitch and 1,250 cd/m² (calibrated) brightness. The tiles have a contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and 160° viewing angles.
