What They Say
AV Interactive reports that The LED Studio in the UK has launched a new range of LED displays for outdoor use aimed at replacing LCDs and in pitches of 1.5mm, 1.8mm and 2.5mm. They want to sell them in conventional ‘six sheet’ and sizes for bus stop signage. The displays are said to ‘run cold’ even when running at 4,000 cd/m² and are claimed to have “40% less power consumption compared with traditional LED displays”.
The AegisPRO is also designed into a freestanding unit with two primary sizes, 86” and 130”, delivering a 16:9 aspect ratio with the option of landscape and portrait orientation. The kiosk solution features a proprietary casing to create a secure all-in-one solution.
What We Think
I’ll try to find out how the company is getting ‘40% more efficiency’ than ‘conventional’ LEDs. Still a claim of ‘running cold’ might also need some data! (BR)
