Nanoco has signed a 12-month agreement with Osram, to supply quantum dots (QDs) for LED lighting.
LED lights are generally less ‘warm’ than incandescent bulbs, but are very long-lasting. QDs are a way to solve this, but their use of a toxic heavy metal, cadmium, has prevented their use. Nanoco’s QDs are produced without any heavy metals.
