Following its announcement that it is expanding into LED displays, Optoma has confirmed five new appointments this summer that will specialise in LED Displays across Europe.
Perdee Gould joins the UK team as LED Account Manager from Handy AV where she had been Corporate Business Development Manager for display products for 2.5 years. Previous to this she was at Midwich.
Perdee lives in Norfolk with her husband and two children and is found on the touchline watching rugby or at pony events with her children in her spare time.
She said: “I am very excited to join Optoma at this time. The LED display market is set to rise as pixel pitches get finer and the potential opportunities increase.”
LED Account Managers have also been appointed across Europe. Klaus-Dieter Dahl will support customers in the DACH region and Allard Nederlof and Regino Angulo will join the Benelux and Spanish/Portugal teams respectively at the start of September.
LED display expert David Jones has joined the company to support the local sales teams as Optoma’s EMEA LED Specialist. David has been in the industry for over fifteen years and will be based at Optoma’s headquarters near Hemel Hempstead.
Optoma’s Managing Director, Thierry Millet, said: “We are investing not only to strengthen our sales and support teams but also in the physical infrastructure in our UK headquarters. Already, we have developed an LED showroom where customers can come and see a 5 metre wide 2.6mm pixel pitch LED display and a 4 metre wide 2mm pixel pitch display. These will soon be joined by a further 1.5mm fine pitch LED display.
“In addition, we are building a dedicated LED facility for the testing, service and repair of LED displays. This is due for completion at the end of August. Like our projection business, having local stock and local support gives our customers the confidence they will have support before, during and post installation of their LED displays.
“It is an exciting time at Optoma right now. I am delighted to welcome all our new starters to the company who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge with them.”
There are currently vacancies in France and Scandinavia for LED Account Managers. For more information on these roles visit: www.optoma.eu/careers
