Optoma showed its new EH320USTi short throw projector at InfoComm. The DLP projector uses one FHD 0.65″ chip and produces 4,000 ANSI Lumen with a contrast ratio of 20,000:1 (full on/off). With a noise level of 28 dB and a throw ratio of 0.25:1, the projector aims at the educational and business markets.
They also showed off their brand new prototype 3,000 Lumen LED projector. The projector utilizes the Philips Spark light engine for the green primary (see Philips Introduces ColorSpark or Philips Boosts LED Projection With ColorSpark (DS7)). Optoma expects to ship first products of this new projector either late in 2015 or in the beginning of 2016, as the Philips components becomes available.
We also had the chance to talk to Optoma in their private suite. We can expect many new and updated products later this year, but since the specifications are not finalized they were not willing to talk about them. – NH
