Vivitek’s new DH558 DLP projector is a portable model, designed to be moved around and set up in a new location with minimal fuss.
Weighing 2.3kg, the unit features quick on/off (despite the use of a lamp); a source filtering function, to quickly locate a signal; and the ability to accept content from a mobile device, using MHL. It can show 3D sources, and uses a five-segment (RGBYW) colour wheel.
Resolution is 1920 x 1080 and brightness is 3,000 lumens; the projector has a 190W lamp, lasting between 5,000 and 10,000 hours. Contrast ratio is 15,000:1.
The projector has a 1.22-1.46:1 throw ratio, and is capable of throwing a 31″ – 309″ image from 1m – 10m. 1.2x optical zoom and +/-40° vertical keystone correction are built in. MHL-HDMI, VGA, USB-A and USB-B (service) ports are built in, as well as a 2W speaker.
Vivitek’s DH558 measures 275 x 212 x 100mm. It is available now, for €540 ex VAT.
