DSCC released its latest OLED Shipment Report showing an 18% QoQ and 14% YoY increase in OLED panel shipments for Q3’23. 205 million OLED panels were shipped, up from 174 million in Q2’23 and 180 million in Q3’22.

The report indicates recovery in the OLED market after declines in 2022 and early 2023 due to excess inventory. OLED smartphone panel shipments grew 25% YoY, while OLED TV panels declined 40% versus last year.
Smartphones continue to dominate OLED demand with a 75% unit share. Apple saw a 14% quarterly increase driven by new iPhone 15 models, while Samsung declined 11% on lower Galaxy S23 shipments.

Samsung Display retained the top position with 45% market share, dipping slightly from Q2. Gains were seen by China Star, LG Display, and Visionox. Samsung’s smartphone panels grew 16% quarterly thanks to Apple, Vivo and others. LG Display’s declined 1% as iPhone 14 fell but iPhone 15 rose. China Star increased 33% on Xiaomi growth.
