Oculus to Update Quest 2 Apps to 120Hz

What They Say

Oculus published a blog post saying that it would roll out new v28 software for Quest headsets that would enable 120Hz support on the Quest 2 headset and allowing the use of Oculus Air Link to connect wirelessly to play games. Both features need to be enabled and there are no current apps with 120Hz support, yet. The system will continue to run at 90Hz and ‘many other apps’ will continue to run at 72Hz.

The firm also announced new features for working in VR under the Infinite Office sub-brand including the connection of the Logitech K830 wireless keyboard (more keyboards will be added later). A view of your hands and the keyboard is available.

What We Think

There’s a Gif on the blog showing the keyboard view, but it was a bit big for our site! Apps will need to be able to render their environments with enough speed to make the most of the 120Hz feature, so not all will be able to. (BR)
