Oculus is streaming a small selection of matches from this year’s World Cup competition free of charge, through its new social viewing app, Venues. The first match to be streamed via the app took place last weekend, with other streams planned for June 20th, 22nd and 24th.
Venues allows users to watch events such as concerts and comedy shows — as well as sporting events — in a social space with voice chat features for communicating with other viewers. The app is available for Oculus Go and Samsung Gear VR.
