Oculus Go, the company’s new standalone headset, was made available for pre-order on Amazon earlier this week, retailing at $199 — and apparently it has already sold out. The device was officially unveiled at the Facebook F8 conference in California.
Tom’s Hardware posted a review of the device earlier today, praising its build quality, light weight, range of content and affordability. The publication criticised the device for taking longer to charge the battery than it actually lasts, but still scored it 10 out of 10.
Meanwhile, ArsTechnica acknowledged the device’s limitations but were nonetheless full of praise, saying “the great absolutely outweighs the bad”. (Oculus Improving Go Rendering)
