We reported on the new FCAT VR benchmarking tool for GPU performance in VR a couple of weeks ago (NVIDIA Announces ‘FCAT VR’ Frame Analysis Tool to Help Demystify VR Performance). Now the RoadtoVR blog has made a detailed comparison of a range of different Nvidia graphics cards and an AMD RX480 to see how they work with the benchmark. The result seemed to be that in low quality modes, there was little difference – all the cards achieved 90fps, but dialling up the quality showed the differences between the cards.
