Nuu Moves Slightly Up-Market

Nuu is from Hong Kong (and emphasised, not mainland China!) where it has been making smartphones for the last seven years. It specialises in OEM and ODM supply and has successful business in the US, the UK, India and Indonesia. It believes it has had success in the market because of long term commitment to customer service.

The company was showing a new smartphone, the Nuu G3, which is aimed at the European market and is slightly more upmarket than previous products. It had a 5.7″ HD+ 1440 x 720 (18:9) resolution display and is based on a Mediatek Helio P24 running at 2.39GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (with microSD expansion). There are dual SIMs, a dual rear camera (13mp + 5mp) and a 13mp camera for selfies. The battery is 3,000mAh. Connection is via USB Type-C and the thickness is just 9mm.

The firm told us that the phone had been chosen by Android Authority as the ‘best under $200’ smartphone. Shipments start in March.
