Nubia Debuts Glasses-Free 3D Tablet and AR Glasses

At MWC 2023, Nubia is showcasing the ZTE Nubia Pad 3D, and its Neovision Glass. The company claims the tablet is the first naked-eye 3D tablet based on AI technology, and the Neovision Glass is the first pair of smartglasses with TÜV Rheinland certification.

The 12.4 inch ZTE tablet uses light field backplane technology from Leia which started to take “reservations” for its Lume Pad 2, which is, you guessed it, the world’s first AI-powered 3D tablet. Leia has been developing light field holographic displays since the middle of the last decade. The company uses a diffractive light field backplate in combination with its software to create the illusion of 3D, no doubt that software has grown being just software to being AI software. The Neovision glasses have a MicroOLED display with a dual-eye 1920×1080 resolution, a built-in cyclonic sound bin and stereo full-range dual speakers, and a frameless design that weighs only 79g (2.8 oz).
