Live VR sports and entertainment broadcaster NextVR has launched its app on Viveport, HTC Vive’s storefront, and will soon bring it to Oculus Rift and SteamVR as well. The app has been made available for several platforms including Google Daydream, Gear VR, PlayStation VR and Windows Mixed Reality since its launch in 2017.
The company previously said its initial focus was on mobile platforms, in order to achieve sufficient results on less powerful hardware first and work its way up. NextVR designs native apps for each platform it releases on.
Earlier this year, the broadcaster also announced support for 6DoF and higher-resolution content would be coming to the platform this year. (NextVR Adds Six Degrees of Freedom and Higher Resolution)
