LG and Google have improved upon the Pixel 2 XL’s OLED display, which has been marred with issues since its release last year, according to the OLED-A.
The publication says that, as of the most recent build, released in January 2018, “colours are no longer muted, they’re deeper, more vibrant than the November build” and that the screen now “feels like the high-quality OLED display that Google should have had at the beginning”.
Aside from general quality issues, Google were also forced to investigate reports of image retention with the Pixel 2 XL’s display. (Google Investigating Pixel 2 XL OLED Burn-In Issues)
