New York Requests Beacon Removal

US-based advertising company Titan has been asked to remove Bluetooth beacons it placed in phone booths around New York City. The Mayor’s office requested that Titan remove the beacons – despite their installation being approved last year by New York’s Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
