New WebVR Site Streams VR Experiences to Any Device

‘Within’, a VR startup based in Los Angeles, has launched a website using Mozilla’s WebVR technology that’s compatible with any VR-capable device, including head-mounted displays or Google Cardboard, as well as mobile phones and PCs. Content can be launched from within supported web browsers, without the need for any additional software.

Users that don’t yet own any VR hardware can use conventional peripherals to move around within VR video manually. While this method won’t necessarily be representative of how developers intended their work to be experienced, it does provide many more potential users with the means to access VR content.
