Netflix has made its content downloadable, as well as viewable via streaming, according to a post on its website. Content can be downloaded on smartphones and tablets and on all plans, although users will need the latest versions of the firm’s apps for iOS and Android.

It was unclear from the post as to whether this applies to all content and may depend on rights deals with content providers.
