NEC Display Updates WCG Monitor

NEC Display Solutions of the US has announced that it is now shipping the 24.1″ MultiSync PA243W monitor which uses an AH-IPS panel with 99.6% coverage of the AdobeRGB gamut,96.9% of Adobe P3 and 80% of Rec.2020. The monitor is an update to the existing PA242W and has 1920 x 1200 resolution with 350 cd/m² of output and 1,000:1 contrast. It uses an internal 14 bit 3D LUT for colour control.

Compared to the previous model, the monitor is 31% thinner and adds speakers and a new Low Blue Light setting.

Connectivity is by DisplayPort, DVI-D, HDMI and VGA and there is an integrated 2 up/3 down USB hub that supports NEC’s DisplaySync Pro KVM functions. There are dual 1W speakers.

The monitor will be available in November in black or white and costs $949 (MAP) or $1,199, bundled with NEC’s SpectraViewII calibrator.
