NBC Olympics has selected SES to provide Ultra HD HDR satellite distribution for its production of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games, which take place in PyeongChang, South Korea, from February 8th – 25th. (NBC Announces Winter Olympic Coverage in Ultra HD and HDR)

SES will use its satellite platform to distribute the NBC Olympics HDR feed to its affiliates throughout the United States, using the SES-1 satellite located at 101° West. SES has provided pre-configured satellite receivers to the affiliates that will be receiving the HDR feed. SES’ UHD platform provides multi-channel video program distributors in the United States access to the world’s largest bouquet of linear UHD programming.
