NBC has announced it will partner with Intel and its True VR technology, to provide 50 hours of VR coverage of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
NBC subscribers will be able to access the coverage using Windows Mixed Reality headsets and Samsung Gear VR, as well as Google’s Cardboard and Daydream platforms, via the NBC Sports VR app.
Provided by Olympic Broadcasting Services, the coverage will include the opening and closing ceremonies, alpine skiing, curling, snowboarding, skeleton, figure skating, short track, ski jumping, ice hockey and big air.
NBC will also provide 360° video and VR replays of events that have been live-streamed.
