Nanosys has announced that it has signed Exciton in China, said to be a leading maker of diffuser films, to make Nanosys QDEF film. The company is ready for mass production and will buy quantum dots from Nanosys for the films. Exciton becomes the third merchant supplier of Nanosys-based films alongside 3M and Hitachi Chemical.
In a press release, Exciton said that it already has orders for mass production and supply of films in the first half of 2017.
Exciton had an IPO in November 2016

This is another positive move for Nanosys whose QDs are also licensed by Samsung.
