NanoLumens Displays Used for Digital Art Piece at US Airport

Over 185m² of NanoLumens video walls have been installed at Charlotte Douglas Airport in North Carolina, United States as part of a $200 million renovation project. The screens are part of an abstract digital art piece designed by media artist Refik Anadol.

The piece was constructed using a 42.7-metre-wide, 2mm pixel-pitch LED video wall and two 12.2-metre, 4mm pixel-pitch LED displays featuring synchronised, abstract visuals driven by data from the airport’s own air-traffic tracking software, flight information, baggage handling systems and transportation services.
