Lenovo’s Moto brand has had good news and bad news. Its Z2 Force Android smartphone is reported to be available from all of the four major US mobile operators. The company said that the handset will be available from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, and Best Buy from August 10th. The phone runs Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and has a 5.5″ display with 2560 x 1440 resolution LCD. It runs a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. There are dual 12 MP cameras and video can be recorded up to 2160P30 or 1080P120. Connectivity is via USB Type-C.
The bad news is that while the LCD is described as shatterproof, but there have been complaints that the phone is not scratchproof and Motorola said that users concerned about scratches should use third party screen protectors.
