The B2B Philips monitor that MMD previewed last week, and will appear at IFA 2016, is officially known as the 272B7QPTKEB. This 27″ display features a pop-up webcam that is usually hidden in the display frame. MMD says that this makes the monitor more secure if a network is hacked.
Like other professional Philips displays, the monitor features presence sensors to minimise power consumption. It also supports daisy chaining through the DisplayPort input. Mini-DisplayPort and HDMI interfaces are also featured. The monitor can be tilted (-5° to 20°), swivelled (350°), pivoted (90°) and raised/lowered (150mm).
An IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution provides the display with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 178° viewing angles. Brightness is 350 cd/m².
MMD is selling the monitor now, for £480 ($620) ex VAT.
