Microsoft’s HoloLens pioneer, Alex Kipman, recently went on record to assure consumers that a follow-up to the AR headset is still on the way, following the news that some of the HoloLens’ components are being discontinued. Kipman also mentioned that the company is integrating AI technology into the device’s processing unit.
Speaking about the next iteration of HoloLens a year ago, Microsoft teased a tentative 2019 release date for the device.
