In its round-up of innovation and technology opportunities, McKinsey has ‘immersive-reality’ technologies as #9 in its list based on $30 billion of investment in 2021. Interest in the technology has declined slightly since 2018, but investment and innovation have grown.
What We Think
The company gives access to a pdf with its view on immersive technologies. The pdf is an impressive summary of what is going on from a ‘big picture’ point of view. If you are new to AR/VR/XR it would definitely be worth a look and I’ve pencilled in a Display Daily for when I ‘get caught up’ 🙂 (BR)
