Marshall has announced the V-LCD70W-SH camera-based field monitor with a 7″ 1920 x 1200 LCD with 450 cd/m² of brightness and 1,000:1 contrast. Inputs include HD-SDI and HDMI and there’s an integrated cross converter. The monitor can be run on 12V and weighs 1.2lb (545gms). Features include ‘false colours’ for exposure checking and focus peaking. The monitor has a quick change battery plate for Canon, Panasonic, Sony and JVC batteries as well as Anton Bauer and V Mount batteries.
The sun hood is foldable and detachable. The monitor is selling in the US for $799.
