Lux Research has released (registration required) the exec summary of a report it has created on AR and VR developments. It forecasts that smart glasses will take 2-5 years to arrive as a volume market, while fully immersive AR glasses will take 5-7 years. On the meantime, video passthrough AR will gain traction among users.
What We Think
I’m not sure that this report adds much new, but looks like a reasonable summary of the (many) barriers to be overcome to achieve its forecasts. (BR)
