LG Electronics is to add to its 27″ 240Hz QuadHD monitor with a new 45″ curved 21:9 3440 x 1440 OLED monitor, the LG-45GR95QE which will sell for a list price of $1,699. It is curved to a tight 800R format and should ship at the end of December in the US.
What We Think
I have never had a response to my queries to LG Display about the 27″ monitor as to whether it uses an LG WOLED display, but I heard from someone ‘close to the matter’ last week that it definitely is WOLED as that person’s company had looked at using it in a monitor. I assume the 45″ monitor is also WOLED. It was shown at IFA, but pricing and availability were not clear at that time. (Curved Monitor? Certainly! How Much Would You Like? )
Gamers are starting to see the benefits of the OLED revolution. (BR)
