The new outdoor direct-view LED (dvLED) display series, the LG GNEB from LG Business Solutions USA, is part of the company’s offering of displays for cruise ships, and this one is aimed squarely at the ships’ outdoor entertainment spaces.
With 6,000 nits maximum brightness and marine-grade powder and conformal coatings, the displays resist salinity and corrosion, making them suitable for marine environments. The front and rear of the displays are IP67-certified, ensuring high environmental protection.
The GNEB series has a 100,000-hour lifespan to half-brightness and a 7680 Hz ultra-high refresh rate for flicker-free content. The displays are compatible with LG’s SuperSign, LED Assistant, and ConnectedCare tools via an optional LG CVEA system controller.
The two available models, GNEB062-GN and GNEB083-GN, differ in pixel size and contrast ratio. The 6.2mm pixel pitch GNEB062-GN has a 5,000:1 contrast ratio, while the 8.3mm pixel pitch GNEB083-GN offers a 7,000:1 contrast ratio. The 6.2mm model is ideal for higher resolution and closer viewing, while the 8.3mm model is a more affordable option for larger screens or distant viewing.
Both models offer a 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, adjustable color temperature from 3200K to 9300K, and 16-bit processing. They can operate on 110-volt or 240-volt power systems and function in temperatures ranging from -22°F to 122°F. The displays have front or rear access for flexible on-site repairs and feature easily detachable power distribution units for maintenance.
