LG Fixes Dolby Vision Raised Blacks on 2017 OLED TVs

A week after LG released an update for its UP970 Blu-ray player, which fixed an issue with raised blacks when outputting content in Dolby Vision HDR, the company has issued a similar fix to select OLED TVs. (Black Level Fix on the Way for LG Dolby Vision Support) The update is currently only available for the company’s 2017 range of OLED televisions.

The implementation of Dolby Vision support in Smart TVs and other devices has not gone very smoothly so far. Sony has also had to issue a slew of firmware updates to fix problems with its own Dolby Vision support. (Sony Dolby Vision Update Currently Restricted to Streaming Apps)
