The Korea Herald has reported that LG Display has been clear that at the moment, it still has not done a deal with Apple for the supply of OLEDs for the iPhone X. The company has said that if an order is confirmed, it will say so, otherwise it will clarify the position in around a month’s time. The paper said that it has seen reports that Samsung has sold 67 million panels to Apple.
Analyst Comment
LG Display has been a key supplier for Apple in many areas for a long time and Apple must hate having a single suppler. That supplier being Samsung is a ‘double whammy’ and must really hurt.
