LG Display Result 27/07/2016

LG Display reported Q2 2016 net loss of 84 billion won ($74.7 million), compared to a net profit of 363 billion won ($322.9 million) in the same quarter in the previous year. Turnover was 5.8 trillion won ($5.2 billion), down 13% YoY from 6.7 trillion won ($6 billion). The loss was caused by falling LCD prices because of Chinese LCD capacity increases. Panels for TVs accounted for 39% of the revenue in the second quarter of 2016, tablets and notebook PCs for 18%, mobile devices for 27%, and desktop monitors for 16%.
