What They Say
Prad.de reported on a new LG monitor, the 32UN550 which has UltraHD resolution and uses a VA panel with 3000:1 contrast. Response time is quoted at 4ms grey to grey and brightness is 350 cd/m². The colour coverage is quoted at 90% of DCI P3, with 10 bit support (8 bit + FRC).
The monitor uses 35W in SDR mode and 52W in HDE. That puts it in energy Class G. The set costs €349 in Germany.
What We Think
I wrote this up partly because I noted that this monitor was from LG but used a VA panel. However, it seems that the monitor division uses plenty of VA monitors. Then I noted the price. A 4K 32″ monitor cost a lot more than this last time I looked. It’s great to see this level of technology getting more accessible (especially as mine is getting older and is long out of warranty!) So, not the most interesting thing I saw today!(BR)
