What They Say
Lenovo has a new monitor, the P27u-20, a 27″ unit with UltraHD and optimised for WCG with 99.1% of DCI-P3 and 99.5% of AdobeRGB and DisplayHDR 400 certification from an 8 bit+FRC IPS panel. Delta E accuracy is <1. Unusually, the monitor has Thunderbolt in and out connections as well as supporting USB 3.2, RJ45 ethernet (with Intel vPort support) and dual HDMI connections and a DisplayPort port. The monitor can supply 100W of power for a laptop and 27W via USB Type-C for a smartphone.
The monitor will sell for $769 from December 2021
The firm also announced two gaming monitors.
What We Think
This looks like a well targeted monitor for content creators in corporate environments. It’s not cheap, but it’s not outrageously priced, either. If Lenovo continues to develop products, Dell’s dominance in the monitor market might start to come under pressure. (BR)
