Lenovo has introduced new notebooks using its Legion gaming sub-brand. The Y730 and Y530 have 17″ and 15″ IPS LCD displays with 144Hz frame rates and 300 cd/m² of output which are driven by Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPUs and the notebooks have a range of CPU options up to 8th generation Core i7 six core specification. The new notebooks are said to have improved airflow (by 16%) which reduce CPU operating temperatures by 10%. Audio facilities include support for Dolby Atmos.
Connections include miniDP, HDMI and a single USB Type-C port. Weight is from 5.1 lbs (2.3 kg)
The 17″ Lenovo Legion Y730 Laptop will start at $1,249.99 and the 15″ model will start at $1,179.99, both available on www.lenovo.com and select local retailers in September 2018.
