TCL

TCL, the world’s third largest television manufacturer, recently announced that after showcasing its latest 65’’ Curved QUHD TV Xclusive (X1) at CES 2016, TCL plans to further expand its presence in emerging markets to provide bigger and smarter UHD products for the consumers. As one of the most significant transformations that took place in the TV market, there has been a growing demand for UHD TVs from the emerging markets like Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Pakistan, Indonesia and Australia.

This year, TCL will launch several campaigns like UHD Promotion and New Product Launch to attract more UHD TV consumers and expand their brand influence in the developing countries.

“The emerging markets with low penetration rates hold great potential for UHD TVs,” said Warren Wang, General Manager of TCL Multimedia Overseas Business Center. “And we believe that the superior picture quality powered by our innovative technologies will bring an extraordinary experience to our targeted consumers.”

As a leading UHD TV manufacturer, TCL is dedicated to Research and Development and delivering the best products to consumers. Under the mission of offering consumers high-quality products with latest technology, TCL has invested heavily on picture quality enhancement. The TCL 4K UHD TV is equipped with a professional UHD panel of 3840*2160 pixels which creates a highly immersive experience with the precise presentation of details, while the top quad-core processor entitles a powerful algorithm and image processing capability to the TV, enabling efficient multi-task processing and smooth flow of videos and creating delightful operation and viewing experience. Moreover, TCL’s unique 2K-to-4K upscaling technology can convert FHD signals to a near-UHD level in real time. In this case, the high picture quality of 4K can be achieved even when a 1080P video is played. TCL 4K TV is also equipped with a high-speed USB3.0 interface and a HDMI 2.0 port, so a smooth 4K streaming can be guaranteed even in fast-forward. The advanced UHD technology in resolution, contrast, brightness and color will restore the richness and vividness of the real-life scenes, as well as bring in-home viewers more exciting UHD experiences.

By the end of August 2015, TCL’s UHD TV has achieved a market share of 12.9%, along with a market penetration of 38.1% in the PRC market. Its 4K UHD TVs including H8800, and E5800 won multiple awards including “Best TVs of China”, “Picture Quality Innovation Award” and “Top 10 Panel TVs 2015-2016”, representing TCL’s extraordinary achievements in 4K UHD display. According to AVC (2015), TCL’s overseas UHD TV sales volume will continue to grow by 10% in 2016, led by the 55’’ UHD TVs.

TCL also revealed that a new 4K UHD TV product line Cityline (C1) will be launched in Q2 2016 in the emerging markets, continuously to consolidate the position of UHD leader in the industry.
