A price and release date has been shared for Acer’s S77HK 27″ UltraHD LCD monitor (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 36). It will go on sale in December, starting at £460 ($720).

The Insight 4k 3DLP projector (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 25), from Digital Projection, will be launched in Q2’15.

Eyevis is expanding its UltraHD display range. The manufacturer will soon stock new 58″, 85″ and 98″ models. Each of the new displays (EYE-LCD-5800-QHD, EYE-LCD-8500-QHD-LD and EYE-LCD-9800-QHD-LD) can be equipped with an IR multitouch system. The 58″ unit has 450 cd/m² of brightness and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio; both the 85″ and 98″ have 500 cd/m² of brightness, and 3,000:1 or 1,300:1 contrast ratios, respectively. The 85″ also covers 100% of the NTSC gamut. Eyevis had not shared release details at the time of going to press.

The CP-HD9320 DLP projector from Hitachi (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 38) is now available in the USA. It is also available in white (CP-HD9321).

MSC Technologies showed a new double-sided signage display at Electronica recently. The MSSF-2735-A is 27.3″, with 1080 x 945 resolution and 1,000 cd/m² of brightness. It has a 3,000:1 contrast ratio and 178 deg viewing angles. We have asked MSC for more information.

The X841UHD, an NEC display that we first saw at ISE this year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 7), will be available this month. It will cost $17,000.

21 Viera TVs, eight Blu-ray players and several Lumix cameras are covered by a new Panasonic cashback promotion in Germany. The offer runs until 5th January and offers up to €1,000 cashback on TVs and €100 on other products.

Pixelworks’ VuewMagic Mobile Presenter has been licensed by BenQ for use in the company’s projectors. The software has been re-branded as QPresenter Pro; it can be used to send various document formats (including PDF, Powerpoint and image files) wirelessly from iOS and Android smart devices to a compatible BenQ projector with a WiFi dongle.

TP Vision has begun a cashback promotion on Philips Ambilight Android TVs, in Germany. Customers purchasing a TV from now until 5th January can receive up to €200 cashback when registering the unit at www.philips.de/tvcashback.

The P-Series TVs from Vizio are now available in Canada.
