New data from Dataxis has revealed that TV subscribers in Latin America reached 74.3 million in the second quarter of 2017, representing almost flat growth quarter-on-quarter.
Among the top players in the region, the third-largest provider Televisa saw marginal growth of 0.3%, while AT&T lost 0.6% of its subscribers and America Movil saw a decline of 1.3%.
The top three providers account for 54.2% of Latin America’s overall subscriber count, and saw an average drop of 0.8% between them.
The leader in terms of average revenue per customer (ARPU) is AT&T, at $35 per user. America Movil sits at $27.30, while Televisa lags behind on $13.50.
