Kyulux in Trouble?

We heard over the New Year holiday that Japanese TADF developer, Kyulux, was going through some substantial changes in management, including the loss of its CEO Christopher J. Savoie, its VP of Products, announced with some fanfare last summer, Chris Brown. We were unable to confirm this, but now both individuals have been removed from the company’s website, so we are taking that as confirmation. Unconfirmed industry rumours also suggest that a number of scientists from Harvard have left.

The change leaves only Japanese names on the board which suggests that the strain of an American lawyer CEO may have just proved too much. Equally, there could be some issues in material development.

In January, Savoie has modified his LinkedIn Profile to describe himself as the CEO and Founder of Zapata Computing ( described as a Cambridge, MA based quantum software and services company) and now lists the end of his period with Kyulux as November 2017. That was not the case on the 8th of Jan, when we first checked.

We also haven’t heard anything from Cynora, which was promising some significant developments by the end of 2017. We have reached out to them for an update. (BR)
