Kiosk Solutions GmbH is expanding its Android product lineup with a new landscape-format freestanding unit – which is not limited to the Android OS. It is identical to the AI55, launched earlier this year, but features a horizontal screen.
The AI55HW is a medium-height interactive terminal, housing a 55″ display. It is capable of 24/7 operation, and can be used in interactive applications; customers have the option of a 10-point IR touch overlay.
The Android version does not support touch. Instead, customers will need to choose the Windows model. This is available with or without touch. All three versions (Android, Windows, Windows with touch) are compatible with digital signage software from multiple developers.
Display resolution is 1920 x 1080, with 400 cd/m² of brightness. The kiosk’s internal system (Cortex A8 ARM processor for Android, Intel Core i5 for Windows) can connect to the internet through RJ45, WiFi or optional 3G.
Kiosk Solutions is selling the AI55HW now. Price is on application.
