JR Kyushu to Install Japan’s Largest OLED Display

JR Kyushu Agency announced it will install the nation’s biggest digital billboard using organic electroluminescence display panels in Japan at Hakata Station in Fukuoka in April next year.

The curved digital sign four metres high and seven metres wide uses 36 55″ panels. These displays claim to be able to reproduce jet-black color and show high-contrast images. The billboard to be set up on the first floor of the JR Kyushu station building was developed jointly with Dai Nippon Printing Co. and LG Electronics Japan. It is expected be used to promote new automobiles and tourism in the Kyushu region, the ad agency said.
