Jon Peddie Research has presented Tim Sweeney – founder and CEO of Epic Games – with its Technology Advancement Award. The prize was to be presented at JPR’s Annual Siggraph Luncheon on the 27th July. CEO of JPR, Jon Peddie, said that Sweeney’s career had “led the trajectory of the game industry from shareware and bulletin boards, to first person shooters to VR and new experiences.” JPR’s award recognises people or organisations that have helped to develop and protect new technologies.
