Jaunt VR has announced a deal with Honor, part of the Huawei Group, whereby the Honor 8 Pro handset will be shipped with the Jaunt app pre-installed. Also, inside the box of the phone, will be a VR headset, giving Honor owners access to Jaunt’s library of over 200 VR titles. The phone can now be pre-ordered on vmall.eu for Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Switzerland. The handset will eventually be available worldwide with Jaunt’s user interface supporting 28 languages.
David Bomphrey, director of strategic partnerships, EMEA, Jaunt VR, stated that the partnership reflects the synergy between the two brands and sees the partnership marking a shift in the adoption of VR as a mainstream media platform.
Gang Zhao, head of Honor overseas business, said that Honor is not just focused on engineering devices, but also on a commitment to further next-generation user experiences.
