Japanese Pension Fund Sues Toshiba

Japan’s public pension fund – the largest in the world, at $1.3 trillion – is suing Toshiba for almost $10 million in damages. The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) brought the action against Toshiba after the firm’s accounting scandal, which had a significant impact on Toshiba’s share price.

Satoshi Tsunakawa said, “Our journey to restore investor confidence and trust has just begun. We will make more efforts, with a sense of vigilance.”
