IrisVision and Samsung Launch VR Low Vision Aid in Australia

Samsung, IrisVision and Vision Australia have announced the Australian launch of new technology designed to help sufferers of vision impairment using virtual reality. Developed in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins optical clinic, IrisVision uses customised software on a Samsung smartphone and a Gear VR headset. The magnification level can be fully adjusted, with multiple viewing modes such as full screen, split screen, line reading and many more, depending on the user’s requirements.
