Portable projection remains important to InFocus, and that is behind the development of the new IN1110 series. These projectors, the IN1116 and IN1118HD, are designed for mobile workers who need a compact, lightweight but bright product.
A USB port means that content can be presented from a USB stick, so workers do not need to carry a laptop. 4GB of internal memory is also built in.
The projectors have only one major difference: resolution. The IN1116 is 1280 x 800, while the IN1118HD is 1920 x 1080. Contrast ratio (14,000:1/15,000:1) and throw ratio (1.54-1.18:/1.5-1.15:1) also vary slightly.
Both models are DLP units, with a lamp lasting between 6,000 and 10,000 hours and providing up to 2,400 lumens of brightness. They have +/-40° vertical keystone correction and 15° image offset.
HDMI, VGA, composite, USB (x2) and mini-USB-B ports are featured, as well as two 1W speakers. Measurements are 222 x 185 x 79mm and weight is 1.6kg.
InFocus is selling the IN1118HD now, for $1,150, while the IN1116 costs $888.
