InFocus has announced two acquisitions in two days. First, the company bought Avistar: a provider of video conferencing softwware. Second, InFocus acquired Vidco, a provider of multimedia room and building systems.
Avistar’s technology is already used in InFocus’ Mondopad video conferencing system, as well as various calling services that the company provides. Meanwhile, the acquisition of Frankfurt-based Vidco provides the company with new resources. InFocus will open an EMEA Executive Briefing Centre in Frankfurt in March; here, channel partners will be able to preview – and show customers – InFocus’ new products
